Library
lessons this term have a focus on Non-fiction, with students learning about how
to find information in books and websites. We have recently updated our Junior
Non-fiction section and it has been wonderful to see many students browsing and
borrowing from this section.
Could you please make sure that your child in Prep – Year 3 remembers their library books and bag each week for library lessons. Students in Years 4-6 are encouraged to visit the library before school, during our senior borrowing session on a Wednesday or during their lunch break Monday – Thursday to borrow books.

Congratulations to our wonderful Student Librarians who have done a magnificent job in ensuring the library runs smoothly during lunch breaks, they have recently received their badges and are wearing them with pride.
National Simultaneous Storytime
This term on Wednesday 19 May, our school will be participating in the National Simultaneous Storytime. Now in its 21st year, National Simultaneous Storytime brings together 1 million children from across Australia and New Zealand reading the same picture book at the same time. This initiative is aimed at promoting the value of reading and literacy and this year we will be blasting off with the book 'Give Me Some Space' by Philip Bunting.
