We think of our library as a special place to enjoy browsing, borrowing and learning. Our vision is a busy, welcoming place for students, teachers and parents to access resources that support the school’s curriculum.
"A good library will never be too neat, or too dusty, because somebody will always be in it, taking books off the shelves and staying up late reading them."
Lemony Snicket (author of A Series of Unfortunate Events)
The teaching program
In addition to regular class lessons which contain a planned sequence and progression of learning that aligns with classroom programs, the library also serves as a place for students to do independent work, and use computers, equipment and research materials. Special events, such as author visits, book fairs and a Book Week are also hosted in the library.
We also have a program callled "Reading Beads" which is a rewards program for students reading library books at home.
