Congratulations to our 2021 School Leaders who were announced on assembly this week.
All students who participated in the selection process should be very proud of their efforts and certainly made the selection for staff and students very challenging! The quality of speeches for both School Captain and House Captain were absolutely amazing and a credit to the students and of course their teachers!
Leadership and the selection of our School Leaders is something that we take seriously at Thornlands and hold in very high regard. The potential candidates are certainly challenged by a rigorous selection process commencing with a written application and for School Captains and House Captains, the presentation of a speech. Our potential School Captains also attended an interview. Staff and students then voted for their top four candidates. Anyone who knows our Year 6 cohort would be aware that the field of potential leaders is extremely strong.
