Excellence programs

Here at Thornlands State School we are implementing several enrichment programs to further enhance and extend the skills of our high achieving students. Enrichment groups are another way for us to differentiate for our high ability students. The following is an outline of the various programs which we have happening in year levels within our school. Our year 3s and 5s are participating in IMPACT numeracy program, children from years P to 6 are participating in the 'Thornlands Thinkers' program. Children participating in these programs were nominated by their class teachers. These nominations were based on data obtained from progressive achievement testing (PAT), NAPLAN data and class achievements.
