All year to date, six students have taken on the task of creating their own version of the wood block print of The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Japanese artist Hokusai. Students have used water colours, oil pastels, colouring pencils, and felt tip pens to come up with these original pieces.
In and around Year 6 classrooms there have also been tessellations, a combined Mathematical/Art exercise and student engagment / belonging responses and getting to know you tasks that yield lots of interesting information about each student.
