Welcome back to the 2021 school year and a particularly warm welcome to all our new Thornlands families. We are starting the year with one of our annual highlights- the Year 4 - 6 swimming carnival, which will be held on Friday 29th January 2021.
We are very pleased that with the change in COVID guidelines for 2021, parents and carers are once again welcome back into our school grounds, and so we are excited that we can have some parent spectators at the swimming carnival. However, to ensure the necessary social distancing, numbers will have to be very limited.
Due to the size of our pool area, the number of spectators will be limited to 20. To facilitate this as fairly as possible, we ask that you register your interest to attend by emailing events@thornlandsss.eq.edu.au and we will select attendees randomly, by drawing names out of a hat, early next Thursday morning (28 January).
The 20 lucky spectators will be informed ASAP on Thursday 28 January, via email.
Please note, that due to restricted numbers, only one adult per family will be permitted and you will need to remain in your designated seat for the duration of the carnival.
