Yesterday saw two major events return to our school calendar- The Annual Cross Country and Parent Teacher Interviews.
The Cross Country was a morning of colour and excitement and finally provided an opportunity for all parents who wished to attend, to do so in the open air. It was a beautiful morning for all to be outside and participate with such energy and enthusiasm. An event such as this looks easy and runs so smoothly because the thought and preparation have gone in beforehand. Congratulations and thank you to Aaron Tuni for his thorough organization and for structuring a program that maximizes participation for all.
It is wonderful on a day such as this to witness just how strong the culture is amongst our students to “have a go". Here at Thornlands everyone's efforts are valued and encouraged. This is largely thanks to an amazing staff and the attitudes that they model all the time. I know you join me in thanking them all. Thank you, as well, to the parents who came along to cheer on our athletes and of course congratulations, to all of our age champions and the winning House- all of which will be announced at the next Assembly (10 May).
