A warm welcome back to all of our students and families. It is so great to have everyone back at school. We certainly missed you all. The students have returned with such energy and enthusiasm, we wanted to share with you the amazing work and activities they have completed over the past week.
PYC have been busy learning all about fairy tales and have really enjoyed coming up with creative ideas. Here are work samples from a number of Fairy tales, including Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and The Three Little Pigs.
2P students have enjoyed exploring place value and all the different ways to represent 3 digit numbers.
Year 2 have also been busy creating their own percussion to the ‘Can Can’ in Music’.
3P danced their way back to school with lots of fun Go Noodle movement activities.
3P enjoyed getting back in to their writing activities this week. Writing descriptive narratives was our task for our Big Writes, with a focus on vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation. Pictured is Mia 3P.
This week the Year 4 students having been working hard to complete their Term 2 Science Research Tasks. The students were asked to research and present information about a Queensland Endangered animal of their choosing.'Why is the animal endangered?' and 'What is being done to assist their survival?' were the two main focus questions for their research. A range of different presentation styles were chosen - posters, infographics, PowerPoints and even some video reports. Congratulations to all of our Year 4 students on a job well done.
