The Student Council has started a ‘Containers for Change’ initiative to raise money for our chosen charities and projects at school. 3 bright red bins  (kindly donated by Ms Kim Richards MP, Member for Redlands) have been placed in areas around the school so students can easily place their poppers and non-reusable plastic bottles in them. At the tuckshop you can purchase water, juice and flavoured milk which, once empty, can all be placed in the red bins.  The students at Thornlands State School are very passionate about this project and are keen to give back to the community and lend a helping hand in reducing landfill.
